ACIC Major Projects

ACIC has delivered some of the largest and most complex shutdowns and projects in the Kingdom, positioning itself as a lump-sum turnaround and specialized services contractor. Our expertise spans across Turnarounds, Catalyst Handling, Pre-commissioning & Commissioning, Decontamination & Chemical Cleaning, and Mechanical Works & Fabrication.

SASREF – OPD-II Turnaround (2019): Executed as full-scope lump sum contractor with 1,750 manpower, covering mechanical, hydrojetting, chemical cleaning, catalyst handling, and fabrication.
Petro Rabigh – PRC-GS Turnaround (2020): Lump sum turnaround with 1,650 manpower, delivering complete package including catalyst handling, exchangers, and piping.
SAMREF – Mega Turnarounds (2018 & 2023): Refinery-wide shutdowns with 800 manpower, including refinery decontamination, ultrasonic cleaning, catalyst handling, and mechanical works.
Ma’aden – Turnaround (2023): Total TA contractor with 700 manpower, covering hydrojetting, bundle pulling, fabrication, and vessel/piping repairs.
Saudi Aramco – Ras Tanura Refinery (2024): Full shutdown with 655 manpower, including ultrasonic exchanger cleaning, catalyst handling, and mechanical works.
Petro Rabigh – PRC-GS (2025): Lump sum TA with 800 manpower, including hydrojetting, ultrasonic cleaning, bundle pulling, and bolt torquing.

KPI Highlight: Over 300 reactors handled across KSA — including reformers, ammonia/methanol converters, hydrocrackers, isomax, CCR, MTBE, SRU, molecular sieves, desiccants, and cold box perlite operations under nitrogen atmosphere using BA systems.

SAMREF – 32 Reactors: Complete unloading, screening, and reloading during turnaround.
Saudi Aramco – Ras Tanura Refinery – 20 Reactors: Large-scale catalyst replacement campaign.
Saudi Aramco – Marjan Gas Facility – 16 Reactors: Full catalyst changeout in gas processing units.
Saudi Aramco – Yanbu NGL (Ongoing): Reactor unloading, ceramic ball replacement, and reloading.
SABIC – Ibn Sina: Safe unloading/reloading of methanol reactor catalyst.
Ar-Razi (Saudi Methanol Company): Catalyst handling during turnaround.
Petro Rabigh: Catalyst changeout support for refinery units.

Saudi Aramco / Técnicas Reunidas – Marjan Gas Plant (2024–2025): Pre-commissioning and extended operational support across process units.
Saudi Aramco / Técnicas Reunidas – Ras Tanura Refinery (2021–2022): Pre-commissioning and commissioning of refinery units.
Saudi Aramco / Técnicas Reunidas – Jizan Refinery (2019–2020): Mechanical and pre-commissioning services for refinery units.
Saudi Aramco / Técnicas Reunidas – Jizan Refinery (2018–2019): Pre-commissioning support during refinery start-up.
Sadara / Tekfen – Propylene Oxide Units (2015–2016): Pre-commissioning services for propylene oxide units.
Sinopec Engineering – Ras Tanura (2015–2016): Pre-commissioning services for refinery upgrades.
Técnicas Reunidas / Sadara – Propylene Oxide (2017): Pre-commissioning support for downstream chemical units.

SATORP (2025): Decontamination of process equipment during TAR-2025, including equalization basin.
YASREF (2024): Turnaround decontamination services across refinery blocks.
SASREF (2024): Decontamination of fuel oil systems and underground lines.
Saudi Aramco / Técnicas Reunidas – Marjan (2024–2025): Pre-commissioning chemical cleaning, passivation, and lube oil flushing.
SAMREF (2023): Refinery-wide vapor phase decontamination of exchangers, vessels, and pipelines.

KPI Highlight: Executed over 50 km of pipeline replacement and fabrication works across refineries and petrochemical plants in KSA.

SASREF – Long Residue (LR) Line Replacement (2023–2024): Complete replacement of 32 km pipeline from refinery to port, including civil and mechanical works.
SASREF – GCN Line Replacement: Full replacement of refinery GCN pipeline, including civil, tie-ins, and welding.
SASREF – Sewer System Underground Line (2025): Civil and mechanical replacement of underground sewer pipelines.
SABIC – YANSAB (2025): Complete EPC delivery of backup cooling water system, covering procurement, civil, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and fabrication.
Saudi Aramco / JIGPC (2025): Fabrication and tie-in works for feedstock delivery system.
